Lass ♥
Mia Anderson is a 9 year old with a big heart. Recently Mia contacted the SPCA to pledge a donation of $35, money which she had fund-raised herself. Mia offered her donation to "Lass", a lovelly dog in need of xrays to identify suspected problems in her hindquarters.
Lass sends her sincerest thanks - and kisses - to Mia, John and Anna Boulter, Richard Cross, and "Rocky" (Golden Retriever) Blyth for their kind donations which made her xrays possible.
Lass has a magical soul that touches everyone through her deep, kind eyes. She has one more wish - for someone to adopt her who can help her through the difficult and painful times ahead when her knee joints have prematurely worn out and she can no longer run like lightening and play exuberantly. Lass has luxating patella - "loose knee caps" in layman's terms. The condition can be surgically corrected but it is not currently necessary as she still has full mobility. She is not asking for a fortune to fix her - all she wants is for someone to love her for the years she has left. She is not even two years old and has a joyful attitude to life, tempered with an "old dog" loyalty for her owner. Anyone who takes Lass into their life and heart will have no regrets.
If you can grant Lass her wish, please contact Kaye at the BOI SPCA.
